50mm f/1.8D + convertidor gran angular atornillado = AF muerto

Usuario: "working fine, attached wide-angle converter, never worked right since". Respuesta: "Never should have tried, likely AF took whopping jammed, never work right again, Spain".

Qué pasó

• Convertidor (rosca 52mm) añade **peso + palanca** en rosca filtro frontal.
• Al enfocar, grupo frontal se mueve → **fuerza lateral** en rosca + helicoidal.
• **Engranajes plásticos motor DC** (50mm f/1.8D) **se desdentan / rompen**.
• **Helicoidal se dobla** → focus manual duro / irregular.

Irreparable económicamente

Motor DC + engranajes + helicoidal = 150-200 €. Valor 50mm f/1.8D usado: 80-120 €. **Siniestro total.**

Lección

**NUNCA pongas convertidores / filtros gruesos / anillos macro en objetivos AF-D / AF-S de motor interno / tornillo.** El barrilete no está diseñado para torque lateral. Usa **objetivos dedicados** (20mm f/2.8, 24mm f/2.8, 10-24mm DX, 16-35mm FX).

Sustituto

50mm f/1.8G AF-S (200 € nuevo) – motor SWM interno, rosca frontal no mueve grupo focal (IF - Internal Focus), **sí acepta filtros/converters ligeros** (polarizador, ND).
